According to a recent report on world happiness, the Danes are the happiest people in the world. Whether it's high wages and low unemployment or something magical in Copenhagen's sea air, a cruise visitor will feel the positive atmosphere - and no doubt bring a little more "happiness" to the ship.

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and for 600 years the largest city in Scandinavia, with a population of 1.9 million people. It is home to the oldest monarchy in the world and its current queen, Margrethe II, currently lives at the Amalienborg Palace.
